About us

I’ve always had a lifelong fascination with yarn and have been knitting and crocheting since I was a small child.  It was this fascination that led me to my passion for hand dyed yarns and eventually to me experimenting with dyeing yarn.

I started dyeing in 2015 after relocating to North Staffordshire from a busy London life.  I’m now busier than ever before with my new dyeing hobby that very quickly turned into a small business.  

Initially, after moving I combined yarn dyeing with my other obsession - gardening - and worked at a local garden centre. 

I now dye yarn in small, often one of a kind batches at home in my little kitchen.  I use several different techniques to dye, which include hand painting, speckling and kettle dyeing.  I love experimenting with colours and take a lot of inspiration from nature and plants.  Creating one of a kind single batch yarn is still my favourite way to dye and my passion, with no notes, no plan, just a dye pot and some dyes.
